18 November 2026: TTT Reading Group

The Translating Through Time reading group holds its next session on Wednesday, 18 November 2026, at 15:30-16:00 UK time, 16:30-18:00 European time. This will be an online meeting.

The reading group is interdisciplinary, as is the project on which it is based, and although its focus is primarily early modern, we take an expansive approach to periodicity, and medievalists, Romanticists, and even modernists are very welcome!

For this initial meeting, we will be reading Claire Gilbert, ‘An Age of Translation’ (2021), and Luigi Alonzi, ‘History as Translation: a common theoretical space’ (2026), together with the Guest Editor’s Introduction, ‘History as Translation: search for translation in the traces of history’ in the same 2026 publication.

If you want to join this meeting of the TTT reading group, please send an email to Freyja Cox Jensen. We look forward to seeing you there online if you are free!
